2020 Tennessee State Open Checker Tournament will be held on
(Friday thru Sunday) March 6th - 8th ,2020, at the Comfort Suites in Lebanon,
TN.
The hotel is located on highway 231 (904 Murfreesboro Road) near I-40 (take
exit 238). For reservations at Comfort Suites, call 615-443-0027
(cost $84.95 plus tax) or at Econo Lodge, located at 829 S. Cumberland Street,
615-444-1001 (cost $64.95 plus tax) and tell them you are a
checker player. Please call before February 28th 2020 for reservations. There
is no guarantee the rates will apply or the rooms will be
available after that date. Reservations may be cancelled as late as 4 pm the
day before your arrival. The playing room is free provided a
combined total (from both hotels) of 10 rooms are rented. Otherwise, there
will be a daily fee. A continental breakfast is available at both
locations; however we play in the main conference room on the 1st floor at
Comfort Suites. The tournament consists of 3 divisions. Two rounds
will be played on Friday, four on Saturday, and two on Sunday. Registration
will begin at 1 pm on Friday followed by a business meeting
at 3 pm. Play will start immediately following the business meeting on Friday
